bowling

a couple of weeks ago, we took b bowling.

she had fun for the first couple frames and then she wasn't interested anymore.

but it was fun while it lasted!

she walks!

...kinda.

this last weekend we got to have grandma and grandpa m come and visit us.

she decided to take her first steps on saturday while they were here.

(and we were all lucky enough to see them!)

we took the video on sunday and she's just getting better from there.

she still prefers to crawl (she's a scaredy cat).

one of these days, i think she's just going to take off running (maybe literally!)

thanks grandma and grandpa for coming to visit us!

the mr. was going to just take a picture of the damage she did while eating the other day, but the video was on, so he did some video.

he pointed out to me while i was feeding her, that since i was feeding her with my right hand (therefore, her left) maybe i was encouraging her to be a leftie

(sorry, jeff. we really do love lefties!)

so, i started feeding her with my left hand and her right.

let's just say she's not that good, and therefore, the mess you see on her face.

she got a bath after this feeding.

i finally took some videos of her crawling.

yesterday morning, we were getting ready for church and put her in the jumper that my friend jamie let us borrow.
she was bouncing happily, so i went about getting ready.
a few minutes later, i looked at her and realized she was asleep, but still bouncing.
it was too cute.
i hope you get as much joy out of it as i did!

for awhile now she's been rolling from her back to her front, but couldn't figure out how to get her arm out from underneath her.

eventually, she would just give up and roll back over.

yesterday, she finally figured out how to get her arm out from under her.

today, she's been continually rolling over and then after a few minutes she screams because she wants on her back again, but won't roll back over.

i don't even know how many times i've had to roll her back.

this is her newest thing.

before she would suck on her bottom lip, but it kind of looks like she's biting her lip.

for all you moms out there, is that a sign of anything (teething??) or just a new quirk of hers?

laughs and squeals

we kind of caught her laughing here.

she loves to squeal lately.

on labor day, the mr. had to work, and i'm pretty sure that's what she did all day long.

i got her to talk to me - or rather the camera.

in the second video, i think she was telling me all about her messy diaper that she wanted changed.

is it wrong to think she's cute when she cries sometimes?

i tried to get one of her smiling and cooing, but i have to have the mr. around to do that.

when it's just me, she just stares at the camera trying to figure out what it is.

i didn't realize the movie was so dark.
