k/m reunion 2012

this year, we headed up by stanley for the family reunion.
as always, it was beautiful.

the girls loved riding the horses.
thanks uncle s for leading them around!

i may or may not have been slightly paranoid when we went fishing here.
lets just say i've had better mommy moments than when we were there.

sunday, on our way home, we made the small detour and stopped to see redfish lake.
worth it every time.

the girls loved the "day" part of camping, but not the "night" part so much.
being pregnant, i could've used a porta potty.
overall, we had fun though!
can't wait until the next time!

camping with daddy

the mr. took b camping & fishing this past weekend.
she had a blast.
she's been talking about it non-stop since they got back.

i've been told that b is better company than i am on a camping trip.
i guess i complain too much.
b doesn't complain at all.
she just enjoys her time with her daddy.

since they went to primarily fish and i wasn't chasing a 15 month old around to keep her from swimming, m & i went shopping.
i forgot how easy it was to shop with only one child.
and i had the one that doesn't throw full out tantrums in the store.
score.
we'll join them next time when they aren't going to just fish.

k/m family reunion 2010

the k and m clans have an annual family reunion the weekend before the 4th of july.
this year, they had it at sublett reservoir in southeastern idaho.

boy, did it feel good to be back in my neck of the woods.

i don't think i took any pictures this whole weekend.
in fact, i know i didn't.
the pictures i have are courtesy of the mr., the sister-in-law, and the aunt.
if you want a funny story, head on over to the sister-in-law's post about their adventure trying to find the reunion here.

and all i have to say about that is that if my dear mother-in-law had listened to her dear son (the mr.) when she called him at 11:00 at night, none of that would have happened.
and had she listened to my dear sister-in-law, most of that wouldn't have happened.
it makes for a funny story though :)
 (love you rene'!)

first night we got there...b ran around with no shoes on.
that must have been heaven for her.
on Saturday, we ventured out to the city of rocks
i lived an hour from this place for 17 years and this was the first time i'd been there!
it was gorgeous.

b and g.
she sure loves him.

she's such a ham!

love this picture...it says it all on how much he loves his little girls!

yhis was the best picture i could get of this, but m was kicking her legs sitting here.
it was too cute.

the mr. took b fishing (which she loved) and everytime she sees his fishing pole now she tells me "i'm going fishing, mom."

on our way home, i made the mr. take the scenic route up mt. harrison to see pomerelle.
we would have gone up farther, but the look-out was closed still because if the snow.

and then we stopped to have a good ol' burger's etc. lunch.
can't beat that.

thanks for the fun guys! we can't wait to see where we're headed next year!

does it get any better than this?

last night, i was helping the mr. bring in all of our stuff from our camping trip.
we just finished when j came over to drop his dog off.
we stopped to talk to him for a second and b comes to the front door...

naked.

she took her diaper off (which is a normal occurance) but doesn't usually show the world that.
then k happened to show up right after b showed up at the door naked.

yeah...what a wonderful way to be welcomed right?

we finish our conversation and usher b inside the house to get her diaper back on.
i passed the baby on the floor only to discover that b had decided that m didn't need to wear her pajamas or diaper either.

b is so thoughtful some days.

camping

every year, there's a k/m family reunion. (grandma kesler and her brothers and sisters and everyones kids)
the m part of k/m couldn't make it this year so we camped in oregon on the north fork of the malheur river.
b wasn't too sure about the water at first, but then decided that she was going to play in it.
i barely wanted to put my feet in it.
it was COLD!
 eating rocks

not too sure about the water

 mmm... sticks taste good too!

b also got her first horse ride at the reunion.
i don't have any pictures because i was on the horse with her (c i need pictures please:) but she liked it.
she's got to go on another ride with grandpa here at home too.
she did okay at night sleeping once she was in between the mr. and i and was warmer, but then i couldn't sleep because between her and this baby, i was soo hot.
either way, we had fun though!
