counting my blessings

b came up to me and asked me to turn on the music so she could dance.

now her and m are twirling around the living room with their dolls.

does it get much sweeter than that?

dance recital

b had her dance recital tonight.
we had a rough start getting to her recital.
first, she refused to take a nap.
then, when i had her makeup all done and wanted to take pictures of her, she fell and hurt herself.
so this was how our pictures started off.

and by the end, I finally got a little bit of a smile.

then she didn't want to cooperate getting into the car, so more tears followed.
by the time we got to the school, she had cried off most of her makeup.

she danced to two songs.
the first was the strawberry shake.
the second was teddy bear.

please excuse the choppiness of the video.
i'm not sure why it's so choppy.
and while you're at it, please excuse our laughter and the bumpiness too.
and no, i'm not videoing some random girl in the class too.  that's my neice suzi.

and if you just watched the video, you'll notice there was basically no dancing on b's part during the first song.  she just stood there most of the time like this:

but then she finally started to dance during teddy bear.

and during intermission,
after i had already taken the camcorder out to the car of course
b and cousin suzi put on quite the little show for everyone.

and once the show was over, hamming it up for everyone.

oh well.
maybe we'll try again next year.

the girls love to turn on the music and just dance.

since the beginning of the year, b & her cousin suzi have been taking a teeny tot dance class on saturday mornings.

i was originally going to put b in a tumbling type class, but she is loving this dance class.
