the mister was able to take a couple days after the semester ended and go visit his family with the girls.

i had to stay and work.  the first day was nice and quiet - then it was too quiet the next couple days!

 

they've been building a pond (zip line and all!) and so they had to go check it out.

m and cousin j had a blast throwing dirt into the water.

they also got to celebrate a birthday while there.

cousin s turned 5!

i'm not sure if this is a look of guilt or not.

either way, he's a cutie!

i know they enjoyed their time with family.

i enjoyed my time with no little ones to chase after.

but i was sure glad when they came back home!

the girls and i packed up to go see grandma and grandpa m this weekend.

on the way down, m used a wipe as her hat.

she wore it the last hour of the trip.

we had fun at grandma and grandpa's.

my brother and my sister were home with their kids, so the girls got some good cousin time in.

and i only got the picture above of the whole trip.

oh well - there's always next time.

zoo

we went to the zoo today with my mil, sil and her kids.

the kids, as usual, had a blast together.

b and her fake smile.  how does she pull that off and still look that cute?

we got to go inside and see these guys - i think they're wallabies?

we were literally that close to them.  it was pretty cool.

and yes, it looks like this one just peed before i took the picture.

nice.

m feeding the goats.  she actually didn't mind them touching her.

this was at the tiger.  m loved the tiger.

while the other kiddos would kind of hide when he would come around (like right next to where they're standing) she would get all excited and start pounding on the glass.
