california/oregon coast, part three

sunday, we left derek & shannon's to go on the next leg of our trip - up the coast.

most of day sunday was travel.

this is how m felt about it most of the day
(even the licorice didn't help for long!)

 b was pretty good in the car this day.

well, until m wouldn't stop crying and she felt she needed to as well.

most of the day was spent on highway 1 in california.

never again.

it has got to be the most twisty-turny road ever.

and it goes on for hours.

literally.

and with 2 kidlets in the car - NOT a good combination.

in fact, the mr. and i (who don't get car sick) were almost car sick by the end.

and you know how on some roads there's the yellow "suggestion" mph signs for turns that you can still go at least 10 mph over comfortably?

not on highway 1.

there was one turn that suggested 10mph.

they. were. serious.

thankfully, we listened to that suggestion.

oh, and want a funny story?

the next day we stopped at a national park information center.

the mr. proceeded to say something about where we just came from and that we came up highway 1.

the guy just looked at him and said, "i'll bet you'll never do that again."

where were you the day before we drove it?

totally could've used that piece of information beforehand.
