i'm in denial

have you ever wanted something to eat and just could not find it anywhere?

i can live without fry sauce.
i know how to make a decent version if i really want to.
(by the way, chik-fil-a, makes a pretty good version)

but seriously...these?
maple bars?
who can live without maple bars?

i haven't looked super hard yet, but can't find them at walmart or either of the grocery stores i've been in.

so i get this bright idea today.
i live in houston....there's gotta be a krispy kreme around here and they make maple bars
or rather maple-glazed doughnuts, not bars
well, at least in reno they did.
so i get onto kk's website to find the store closest to me.
i'm thinking maybe there's one downtown (30 miles away.)

well, the result was 132 miles!
seriously?
i live in a city with more than 2 million people and the closest krispy kreme is 132 miles from me?
in a city with only 750,000?

reno had a kk (which i still mourn the loss of....maybe i'll tell that story later) and they have less than half million people.

i'm sad.
i think i may cry.
how am i going to survive the next 3 1/2 months?

i'll live.
i think.
i'm not as dependent on maple bars as i sound.
but you better believe that the first thing i'm going to eat when i'm back in idaho will be a maple bar.

  3. I am in love with this post. I liked you before, but now you are one of my favorite people. Don't listen to Jamie about the calories. Just lift your baby over your head a few extra times. It'll burn off.
